Wedding news

So as most of you know, matt and i were going to get married on August 15th. After much thinking we decided that because we are buying a house *EEEK* in may or june (we know the seller...my grandma) so we have decided that money would be better spent investing in our future then throwing a big party that only lasts one night. So, the verdict. We have decided that we WILL have a small family ceremony, venue not yet decided, but no large scale reception. We will be having a lunch/housewarming the next day. I will keep everyone posted on a date when we get the financial side of it all figured out. I really hope we can pull off a miracle here!

camping in the snow

We went camping this past weekend in the snow, and it was so much fun! we went to a place called neskawatch near chilliwack lake. It was cold, it rained and snowed but we also got alot of sun on sunday which made for some good quadding and exploring. we also cleaned up a couple of other campsites where people has made huge messes. we found this really cool man made pond that turned out to be a spawning channel and were going to visit it again in the fall.Me and matt slept in the tracker the first night and it was pretty comfy minus the snow that fell on us over night. Jim and pam let us sleep in the camper the second night after their son jesse went home to go back to school. Pam made a huge pot of chili and we ate that for 2 days and it was so delish. Matt and jim, left to their own devices, drank a little too much and stayed awake untill 4 am when they decided to come and wake me and pam up. They woke up the next morning not feeling too hot. We had 6 dogs with us. my bruiser, monster,female bruiser, tank, zero and bourban( who stinks so badly..poor old man) and they all decided that chasing the quad down the trail was a fun idea. We came across a pond with a ton of dead rotten salmon in it, im guessing they froze in november and just now are being unfrozen much to a smelly dismay!
We came home yesterday afternoon and i couldnt wait for a shower!

yes, it has been a long time!

i didnt even realize how long it has been since my last post! My bad.I will go back to the end of january. Matt and myself decided to do something we dont usually get to do, so we went to monster jam in vancouver. That was such a blast! The traffic was soo bad on the way there because of the bridge that caught on fire but we made it just one time. We got some snacks and sat down in our seats. We bought our tickets a few days before hand so we wernt given very good seats but when we go there, our seats were amazing! we could see everything and we were up nice and high.It was a really good time, minus being pulled over and given a box 2 for a vehical inspection!

Feb. Valentines day we got all dressed up and went to the wildcat grill in harrison and that was cute. Took our truck into the shop for the box 2, it didnt pass and we only had untill march 1st to get it fixed or the insurance would be void.So we were truckless for 2 days. We finally rented a car for a day so mat could go to work. Feb 28th, the truck was finally fixed at a price of 1996$!!
we are now figuring out a way to pay back the 760 that we owe to them still.

March- Working lots and enjoying the bits of sunshine and nice weather we are having in between the snow we keep getting. We are expecting a visit from angie soon, which will be nice. Also my friend megan is finally comming home from her 6 months in kentucky/phillidelphia!
Today i am just cleaning up and making shredded potato patties with onion and egg in them!

The good the bad and the worst

The good:
My friend from work -Belinda- is having a baby soon! she is due in march and its a girl. I get to help plan the baby shower and i told her im making the cake. I love making cakes.
Were getting a new puppy next sunday. An adorable 7 month old chihuahua/daschund boy. So cute. Will post pictures when he is home.

The bad:
Was suposed to go to monster jam for saturday, i have to work and i dont think anyone will be able to take my shift..darn, i really wanted to see monster trucks and demo derbys.
More snow in the forcast. We havent even got rid of what we have. Im not enjoying driving around in it since the accident. Some idiot backed right up into us the other day in the parking lot. 3 feet into our spot.Didnt do any damage to our truck...dented his tailgate a fair bit.

The worst.
I hate fights..There is nothing worse then fighting with someone you love.

i finally learnt how to change the layout...after what like 6 months. Oh well. pretty and pink now!

Bad luck comes in 3's..i hope

New years day....Its suposed to be the window into your new year. Get a glimpse into how it will be for you and unfortunatly it doesnt look very good for me. First on my way to work, i slip while getting into the truck and slide right under it...okay that wasnt so bad. Second i get to work 10 mins late because of the new snow and hungover plow drivers, i run in and start apoligizing to my supervisor only to be told, sorry your a no call no show, i have to send you home for the day...How am i a no call no show if i came,.,,only a few mins late?? Ok so it makes me mad. I now have a whole week off because i have one crummy shift next week. Im sorry i cant live of 5 and a half hours a week. Thirdly,Now im really mad.So i figure hey, its payday how about we go visit Matts mom in kelowna for the weekend. Bad idea on my part. 50 km on the other side of hope..we hit a patch of ice and a few seconds later were upside down in a snowbank trying to get out of the truck. I had to crawl thru a gap in the sunroof. I got a ride to hope with some strange man who was nice tho, called a tow truck and had to wait 2 hours for them to come back.The truck only has a minor dent in it and were both ok. It was scary but everything is fine.So i hope thats the end of my bad luck for the year!
