So, just when i though it was going to be a good day...we have been approved for a new truck and are working hard to work out the details.....we come home to discover that our apartment has been broken into!! Yup, by our own landlord. How do i know this? because he ever so nicley wrote a note and taped it to the desk..and another to the door.No calls asking to come over no letters in the mail..nothing. If he had come over while we were home and knocked on the door i would have let him in...but when he comes in after we dont answer the door, that my friends is an invasion of privacy. What if i had been nude while he came in? then what would he do? He needed to provide us with a written notice stating why he would need to enter the premisis. My tennancy agreement says that the moment we sign the lease, it becomes our home with resonable rights to privacy. So, because he violated that act, we have filed for arbitration, and we are moving this weekend instead of the middle of the month and we are not paying for the time we are staying. He has been renting for many years, he should be aware that he needs to give us 24 hrs notice to come in, and especially he should know he isnt alowed to come in while we are not even home! I feel like my privacy has been violated and who knows what he could have done while in here? So...that being said, we are moving this saturday and he can go screw himself!
In better news as i was saying, we test drove an '06 ranger today and we got approved for financing, they even offered to pay 2 months of our current loan so we could sell our truck privatly and get more for it. I like the truck and it even still has warranty on it so we wont have to worry about it. I dont know, we did put a deposit on it thats totally refundable if we decide not to do it. Tomorow we will find out.
