where are we, antarctica?

Its litterally FREEZING outside! Not to mention the wind chill! Its -8 outside right now with a wind chill of -22! This is not normal for bc, especially the fraser valley. The river which i live near is frozen, everything is dead and frozen, the power steering fluid froze in our truck last night which made getting to work like steering a yaht.Be that as it may, i still LOVE the weather! i wish it would be like this more. I cant wait untill the weekend when it snows and i will play in it.So what do i do in all this cold weather? i eat a popsicle! Grape to be exact. The only bad thing about this right now is i dont have a lighter, im pretty sure mattchew took it with him or something, so if the power goes off and i have no heat, im going to sit in the dark and do nothing. I can feel a draft comming under the door. maybe i should get a little more bundled up and conserve my warmth while i can make it.

We got our real christmas tree yesterday, we even chopped it down and hauled it home ourselves. Its from this place called highland L christmas tree farm. It was such a cute place and the people there were so friendly and helpful. I deffinatly want to go back there next year!
So we brought it home and set it up. Pine needles everywhere! i hate when they get smushed into the carpet and you cant get them out. So, we set the tree all up in the stand and decorated it! it looks amazing and smells even better! I love the smell of pine tree.now i feel a little more christmas spirit. We put all our presents under it too. In other news, matts sick and seems to think taking a day off means a mini vacation....not so lucky, there are chores to be done. Now im going to sit and watch my show.

staff christmas party

last night was my first staff party with work.
it was interesting to say the least. We didnt even plan on going but my friend told us to come last minute so we did. i went in my jeans a a cute purple top...that i had just previously worn to change the back brakes in the tracker....hmm. Good thing i wasnt greasy, only my hands.We got there and people were just arriving so we found a table with a few of my work friends. We sat and chatted untill dinner. It was a wonderful buffet of salads, chicken, mashed potatos,( Mik would have LOVED them!) some pasta's and vegetables and of course, roast beef. It was amazing food. After dinner and dessert that consisted of pies and cakes galore we had some speeches and door prizes. Then dancing and games. I even got involved in the games which ment passing a hockey ball from neck to neck...with the manager! Haha.We had musical chairs and limbo also. Then more good music and dancing.As people started drinking more and more they started dancing more and more, which was pretty fun to watch the older people from work try to dance to songs like in the ayer and katy perry.I won lots of prizes. I won the draw for our table prize which was a bar set including a martini shaker stirring sticks olive sticks and a neat case for it all. We also won a 2lb box of licorice allsorts MMM, a box of pot of gold and a neat village figurine with people skating. All in all it was a good time, we stayed untill the end and i helped clean up and shoo people away. I cant wait for feedback on monday!

christmas cheer??

it is weird. Its already the middle of november and i have yet to feel the holiday cheer...i dont know if its just because ive been working so much and i dont have time to "get in the spirit" or if its because work has made it less special.Or maybe its just because its the middle of november. Nothing........Maybe christmas shopping tomorow will get me in christmas mode. I have alot of wedding stuff on my mind so maybe thats a contributing factor in it. Trip to quesnel and prince george was really good. Im glad i got to spend so much time with my mom. She has a really cute new puppy named barney. He is a 4 month old english springer spaniel and is smart as a whip.Bruiser didnt much like him though. My best friend is gone...and i miss her horribly, i dont know if i have posted about her on here...but she is gone to kentucky untill feb. I dont know what im going to do without her. she has been gone almost a month already and i feel so blah. I plan on writing her this week and snail mailing her...i hope she will like it, I also have to figure out how much it will be for postage down there. Well all for now

Internet and all its wonders

Well i was finally not lazy and bought the stupid adapter so i can have internet...boy am i glad i did. It was on sale at work so im not going to pass that offer up.Not much to say really. Bought a new truck...buying a hottub...the usual! Oh. Were going to prince george and QUESNEL this weekend,,,im suprising my mom! i think she will be soo happy! I hope she doesnt read my blogs lol. Im loving living in chilliwack!!
it feels like we have never left! its going really well for us.
I have a job at zellers and im getting crazy hours this week which is awesome.
Right now ive been working on wedding details getting alittle more into the big stuff and im so glad i have my best friend megan there with me to help me thru it all! she has been soo awesome to me and its been a total blast. Many nights poured over books while eating a bowl of her dads awesome chili or pigging out on quiche! Its been along time since i have blogged and i apoligize! I havent got my internet working im over with a friend of mine...were making our men dinner!
well i should go and help her with it!

Moving day has come at last!!!!

Not yet....technically. We are moving tonite mostly boxes and totes ect then tomorow we will finish with the furniture. Im unsure if we are staying in chilliwack tonite but that would be fun. I wouldnt mind one more night here. So many good times and good memories but i guess everything has to change....yay for new routines and being closer to family and friends. As for now, i am starving...all the food is packed so i will have to find something!

Stupid computers sometimes...

My computer wont allow me to upload pictures from my phone now...why i dont know.
After we move im going to figure it out but for now the pictures of moving and our last road trip will have to wait....sighhh

Privacy breaking landlords...My rant

So, just when i though it was going to be a good day...we have been approved for a new truck and are working hard to work out the details.....we come home to discover that our apartment has been broken into!! Yup, by our own landlord. How do i know this? because he ever so nicley wrote a note and taped it to the desk..and another to the door.No calls asking to come over no letters in the mail..nothing. If he had come over while we were home and knocked on the door i would have let him in...but when he comes in after we dont answer the door, that my friends is an invasion of privacy. What if i had been nude while he came in? then what would he do? He needed to provide us with a written notice stating why he would need to enter the premisis. My tennancy agreement says that the moment we sign the lease, it becomes our home with resonable rights to privacy. So, because he violated that act, we have filed for arbitration, and we are moving this weekend instead of the middle of the month and we are not paying for the time we are staying. He has been renting for many years, he should be aware that he needs to give us 24 hrs notice to come in, and especially he should know he isnt alowed to come in while we are not even home! I feel like my privacy has been violated and who knows what he could have done while in here? So...that being said, we are moving this saturday and he can go screw himself!

In better news as i was saying, we test drove an '06 ranger today and we got approved for financing, they even offered to pay 2 months of our current loan so we could sell our truck privatly and get more for it. I like the truck and it even still has warranty on it so we wont have to worry about it. I dont know, we did put a deposit on it thats totally refundable if we decide not to do it. Tomorow we will find out.

yet another summer roadtrip!!

We did it again! this time we went to kelowna and back. We went up the coquahaila to merritt then took the 97c to kelowna stayed the night at matts moms new place which had an amazing view! we went out to montana's for dinner and our waiter forgot to put our order thru so we waited for an hour then realized it had taken a very long time. The manager came out and told us that because we had waited so long our meal was free all we had to pay for was the alcohol which was awesome. We had dinner, which was really amazing( i will deffinatly go back there) and deep fried cheesecake for dessert! 4 meals 8 drinks and one dessert only cost 25$! haha. Then we went back to matts moms house to unwind and sleep because we were all very tired.Today we went on a little tour of kelowna.We drove through the town and saw all the shops and art galleries and museums and fancy hotels. Then we drove up Knox mountian for a gorgeous view of the okanagan lake! We drove to gyro park where we went for a little dip just me and matt. We walked along the shore to a little boat rental place. Next summer were going to rent some stuff but we just didnt have the time this visit.When it was time to hit the road to come home it was about 3. We took the long way home through summerland peachland penticton and karemeous. We stopped in a fruit stand to buy some fruit! it was so cute. Just when we thought we were making some good time....BAM there was traffic....and people standing on the road out of there cars. I saw a waterbomber and i knew it was a fire. Sure enough 2 hours later and about 2 km down the road we drove past a brush fire that was being put out. Some kids started a fire in the grass and it got out of hand. The bilboard legs had flames on them as a drove by. It was a huge burn mark all over the field and really close to houses. So to make up for lost time we got a move on it. we didnt get home untill 11pm, it was a really long drive but thats ok it was fun and i have some nummy fruit! it was a very good weekend. I will post pictures tomorow! i made sure to take lots! well that is all for now!

Rain rainy days

Rain rain go away,,,only for the weekend. We are still un-decided wether or not were going away this weekend. I want to but i also want to hang around town and visit with friends and go out for a nice dinner with matt....I dont know i still have a few days to decide. Tonite is the season premier for the new generation of 90201!!!Im going to watch it. Ive never seen the old ones so this should be good. I cant belive summer is just about over and haha to everyone who has to go back to school...im still glad i dont have to...i miss it tho. Last weekend for the p.n.e too, maybe we should go there but its so expensive. I dont know there is so much to do....who knows. I am packing and cleaning and organizing and throwing stuff out and then some more cleaning. The one part i dont like about moving is the cleaning part but it will be good on the other end when we didnt drag a bunch of crap to our new place.I found a bag of nibs...from halloween and i thought they might still be good because they are all individualy wrapped...boy was i wrong...they were hard as cement and pretty dull on flavor so out they went. I also found a ton of bruisers toys and he was happy to have them back...but 5 mins later i went in the bedroom and bam! it was covered in fluff...now i remember why i took them away in the first place. Sometimes i think he could be worse then a child but he is only a dog...my fur baby and i love him no matter what kinda trouble he gets himself into.Well thats enuf for now....xoxo

Im startting to freak out! We are moving really soon but im no where near done packing! eeeek! I canceled hyrdo and cable and put in a change of adress..its scary but also very exciting!
This weekend i was going to have my birthday party but i really dont see the need for it. So we are going to kelowna! Matts mom is moving there so were going to help her move and stay a few nights there. I havent been to kelowna in a very long time and im looking forward to maybe catching the last few summer rays on the okanagan lake! Yay!

Well its more of a not so happy birthday. Im now 20, no more teenage years no more excuses for being immature....it doesnt help my mental state that i will be spending the entire day alone. Oh boy.

States trip!

I Went to bellingham today, how exciting.
My friend has never been there so we went together and she was just as excited as i was the first time i went down there..she even got a picture with the state trooper! HAHA. she loves mc donalds and how big everything is. I had a cool chocolate dipped cone, tasted like purdys without the sprinkles! yumm.I bought some random things. virgo panties hehe and some chocolate bars we dont have here and i bought a certain special cousin a present....MIK lol.We played in the play area in the mcdonalds and said eh alot just to be obnoxisous. We looked into getting tings peirced but it was so expensive.It was a good time. But im glad to be back on canadian soil! 5 days untill im 20...scary!My friend megan is back from kentucky which means i get to see horsies! yaya.

The official go ahead for moving!!!

We are officially moving!
We spoke to our landlord and gave him our notice, he is comming by this weekend t drop off our security check and the other cheques we wrote him.Our new landlord also is very happy to have us as tennants and i absolutly love our new place! Its so bright and clean and oh so very close to family! I couldnt ask for more. I will post pictures of our new place on here as well. I am soo happy that we finally got things rolling. Next thing is i need to find a job!I am going to apply at a lot of places to i shouldnt have a problem. We are moving on the 15th but we might start moving things in the begining of the month after we give her our damage deposit. We are going out on the 29th to sign the rental papers ect. Tomorow im going to start gathering up boxes to start packing stuff that we wont need in between now and then.Im also going to do some major de-cluttering. Well i need to get back to laundry. Xoxo

Dreams

My dream....i want one so badly. I want to be able to zip around free as a bird. My father would be proud of me if i had one. I think i might buy one next year.They are pretty cheap...only 6 grand for a brand new one plus a jacket pants boots gloves and a helmet!I would look like a badd girl hehe. I love it.Me and matt have decided for our honeymoon were going to bike along the alaska highway! it will be fun and hot beause its in august.I cant wait. I was watching some bridal shows on TLC and it turns out im not the only over organized bride out there with a binder with lables and stickers and color co-ordination! Were going to see our new place again tomorow. This shall be exciting, Were also going to the lake for a much needed swim in nice cool water.Anyways i have to go now and do some more packing and cleaning,I wish someone would come over and keep me company tonite....xoxo

I am a blog stealer!

No im not i just loved gardening with miranda i decided to do my own spin-off. with my specialty....BAKING!
On todays episode(hehe) i decided that because we are 2 days away from getting groceries i would make some sort of cheap but tasty snack using what we had an abundance of...Cereal and marshmallows(3 bags i must add...from camping but we were always too tired to make s'mores and always forgot we had bags before we went camping again!) and 3/4 finished boxes of cereal that matt thinks are "stale" but i know they are not he just wants to open the new box.So far i think that the chocolate ones ( i added chocolate chips to the melting marshmallows), are the best!)

The packing began today. We dont have any boxes besides a few laying around from previous cleaning and or de-cluttering mission i went on.I packed some things we dont need around i.e candles and tea pots and that sort of stuff.I know for most everyone moving is boring and why should it deserve a whole post? I dont even know im just that bored. I hate not having a job and having nothing to do.So the end result of that is a turned inside out house and me not acomplishing anything really. I belive i have truly become lazy. I litterally didnt go outside today(my balcony doesnt count..i was just airing out blankets)I cant wait to move so i can get back to working and seeing friends and family.I need to get out and walk maybe with bean everyday but that goal means i need to overcome my new found lazy-ness.Well this has really drifted from my moving diary!I just have so much crap that i dont want to move..maybe i can post them here and if you want anything ask me? haha.I will when i come across them.Amongst the wedding details rushing through my head im having a hard time concentrating!Well i should go and "pack"xoxo

Moving!!

Well im pretty sure that its official that we are finally moving out of this OLD appartment!
Im not saying i dont like my place but when i say old i mean old.My closet door fell off and wont go back on.The kitchen tap leaks which caused the cupboard underneath to grow some lovely little fuzzy things. The bedroom window has no seal on it and it leaks not to mention its not much of a window when you cant see out of it.My deck doesnt drain when it rains so i have to go out and push the water out of the hole but then it goes onto the people below me balcony and they yell.Im glad to be moving.We are talking to a lady who has a basement suite on fairfield thats cute and perfect for us and she even wants a dog there!So by september 15th im hoping to be there. But one little problem..our landlord had decided that he wanted to change his number and we no longer have it.So how are we going to get ahold of him to give our months notice? We only paid our rent up till the end of september anyways but i want to move before then....i miss seeing my friends all the time and just being able to go out for coffee without having to drive all the way to chilliwack.Anywho i have some things to do.Xoxo

Where did this heat come from?

Its uncomfortably hot all of a sudden!
i dont even dare open my door to let in the usual cool breeze as it has gone away leaving my appartment sticky hot! I dont even want to use the stove. We have no fans and no a/c BUT i really wish we did. Maybe we will have to drive to wal-mart in the truck which has a/c and try to find a reasonably priced fan.I have been using a cold compress..you know those blue gel ones you stick in the freezer? Ya, well i have been using that for the past 3 days in order to keep cool. I cuoldnt even finish my omelette today because it was too hot to even eat but bruiser was happy.My arms are sticking to the desk. I have no idea how matt sleeps thru this weather. He is working grave yards this week and doesnt get home till 6 am.Time to move the ice pack to my head.I have the blinds closed and the door cracked open just enuf so my puppy can go out as he is chihuahua this heat doesnt seem to bother him but he has found a new place to sleep. By the front door on the floor i can feel some cool air from the hall way comming in...i wish i was small enuf to lay down there but ill let him have it.I dont know how people live in mexico and all those really hot places. I wish i could fly to alaska right now!!! Maybe i will bother matthew into going to the lake later today..after horrid bill paying but the bank has a/c. byebye for now! xoxo

job interviews!

Today i had an interview at future shop! The lady who did my interview said that she enjoyed meeting me and that i look comfortable with myself.I really hope that i get hired because thats the first step in moving back to chilliwack.Matt has an interview tomorow at johnston packers where chris works.Its not the greatest for money but it would do for now so we cam just get out of abbotsford. Krista went home today which is sad but hopefully she is moving out here in september with one of her friends. That would be cool to have her as a neighbour.Im looking forward to this week.Im going to apply at more places in chilliwack and maybe look at some places for rent. Me and one of my friends becca are going on a picnic later.Im going to make the same salad i made last night! Anyways, i must go and make some lunch.XOXO

home...at last but missin the country!.

For miranda and aria....Thats fred and wilma. The big one is fred and he is the dad of wilma the only female calf born this year.Fred weighs about 1800 lbs but he is not full grown.

what a way to celebrate the B.C day long weekend. We drove from kamloops to quesnel and matt and angie and blayne went alll the way to terrace! We stopped at my moms house for the night! that was really good to see her again and see her new place and all the buffalo. Im still waiting for her to add the pictures.Me my momma and krista went out for dinner at joeys only fish and chips! it was so delish!! we had a starter of onion rings and popcorn shrimp! I love the buffalo...they are so cute and big. Krista is scared of them and would freak out everytime i would go close to them but im not scared of them.Today we went to the agri-fair to celebrate bc day..HAPPY BIRTHDAY B.C 150 YEARS OLD!hehe. We saw all the horses and sheep and i even had a baby chick pet at my fingers! We saw the racing pigs and the most beautiful friesen horses! i want one soo badly..maybe one day. We watched the lumberjack show chef dez the R.C.M.P musical ride and draft horses pull up to 7500 lbs.There was so many cool things to watch! We had these really good smoothies. i had strawberry daquri and it even came with a little umbrella. I saw the SHAM-WOW guy! we watched his little demo and he gave us samples of the amazing shamwow! it actually works, i cant stop playing with it. We saw the chef dez show and he made us want to make a cobb salad for dinner so when we left we went to the store and picked up some items. It has lettuce tomatos green peppers bacon feta cheese (real!) chicken strips and i even made my own vinagrette dressing with this neat champagne vinegar that angie gave to me.While we were at my moms house matt asked my step dad who he has always been afraid of, if he has his permission to marry me and he said yes. It was really cute.I took him for a walk around the property and showed him where were getting married. My moms house is really pretty. its got really high vaulted ceilings and lots of natural wood so it always smells fresh. anyways i think that i have blabbed on for long enuf here! xoxo

On the road again

Well i am posting this from matts moms office computer in KAMLOOPS!
i know its not as exciting as arias trip to california or austrailia...but its my kind of roadtrip!
we left abbotsford last night at 8:30 and drove here in the dark. Matt always said he wanted to do it so we did. It was fun but on the toll highway it was raining and foggy but matts a good driver and we made it safe and sound. When we got into merritt it had stopped raining and we could even see some stars!!! so right now i am enjoying some breakfast compliments of angie( toast eggs saugage and coffee!!!) then i am going to get dressed and go! were driving to cache creek going to stop for some lunch and a break then were off to quesnel! where matt his mom and her boyfriend are dropping me and krista off at my mammas house for the night. We havent seen her in a while so this visit is going to be good.Then they are going to terrace to pick up a new truck and drive it back here.Bruiser likes to travel with us and he is good in the car so thats a bonus. Anywho. i should go but i will keep posting in quesnel! ALSO...24 DAYS UNTILL IM 20!!!

just some new information

today i found a few places for rent in chilliwack that allows dogs! yay! and the rent is cheap too, so we are going to look at them this weekend. Also my little sister krista has decided she wants to move here which is good because i miss having her around. I cant wait! she is comming out here on friday for a few weeks so we can look for jobs and cars and houses. Its a good thing she is moving out here and im really glad that matt wants her too! i missed having her around all the time! anyways i want to post HAPPY 21ST BIRTHDAY ARIA!!!! hehe. ok well that is all for now!! xoxoxox

Camping! and then some

Well this weekend was awesome to say the least!
i finally had the guts to drive a quad by myself! it wasnt scary at all and i spent so much time on it after i finally got off the backs of my legs were so sore and my thumb was stiff from hold down the throttle.I got a quick lesson taught by myself on how to reverse in it while in the middle of the dirt road being used by crazy bikers! ah! a little scary but it worked out and now i can use them when ever i want! yay go me! i was proud of myself as matt thought i wouldnt do it but i showed him! my friend megan drove it at first half way down the street and then i asked to hop on and i came back and showed matt! he look suprised when he realized it was me behind that full faced helmet! hehe. We went camping at tamahai with a few of our good friends. It was fun. It rained this morning/late last night. there is no better feeling then waking up to the sound of the rain on your tent. But i woke up frantically feeling around in the dark for bruiser because i was scared he would get out of the tent or be too cold but like a faithful best friend he was curled up under the blankets at my feet.I also spent more time at megans house and played with the horses and helped her do some things around the farm.I love helping her! So, the big countdown is on, 28 days untill im 20!!AHH! its scary. In more news, i think we may have found a place in chilliwack! its a 1 bdrm top floor of the house which is good and the rent is very cheap so were going to take a look at it this weekend! that is all for now! xoxo

on the radio...and some chips

Another hot long day!It wasnt unsucsessful tho!We went back to the auo-mall to test drive the rumble bee and i must say i realllllly like it! but its going to cost us a fortune to pay for not to mention the rising price of gas but i have noticed it has dropped in the past few days which comes as a relief! but 20,000$ is alot to ask of our finances so close to the wedding and we havent even started saving for that! errgh. but thats a whole other story. I was driving down the road and on the radio the host was reading this survey thing and said that 95% of the married population lived not more then 5 km away from there love before they met! i thought that was cute and mentionable.Its still hot and its just about 9:301 i hope that the family is doing well down in the u.s.of a!!! i want to go on a vacation. but in good time.I want to try a new brand of chips i saw on tv. Its called zapps! and they have some pretty coool flavors like cajun crawtator and my old time favorite JALAPENO! mmm jalapeno, i really remember when i was a kid around 2 me and my dad would walk to the esso near our house on grouse mtn and buy a bag of THUNDERCRUNCH( they dont ship to canada anymore :'< ) and we would watch the canucks game in my dads brown easy boy. but ya, im hoping to find those chips! i would buy a case of them but they only ship to the lower 48 states and i dont have family to send them to me! sometimes i wish everything would ship to canada, but then i would be fat because i love chips soo much, i bet i could write a whole blog on my love for chips! ok i think thats enough of chips for now! much love xoxox

ah..at last, wednesday!

yay! wednesday, the middle of the week! its over and that means only 2 more days of work/being alone all day.Today i was being adventourus and woke up early to make cookies!
i made chocolate haystacks or in my family they are called poo patties,silly i know but tasty none the less.Matthew got home from work today and wanted to go out somewhere so we took a drive down to the automall and what does he find? a rumblebee! the very truck he has always wanted so we hopped in and looked around.Being a guy and all he is determined to buy it but im happy with the truck we have now. Its 20,000$!!! which is cheap for the truck but a little bit out of our price range. boys will be boys!

affordable car for our future??

2 posts in one day! Today as i was channel surfing i was watching discoverys daily planet and they showed the coolest car that is currently in production for late 2008!!!Its called an aptra and its really not a car as its classified as a motorbike! but because it has 3 wheels and is inclosed you dont need a motorcycle licence or a helmet.I think its actually pretty cool and is a reasonable price! the hybrid ones are under 30,000$ and the hybrid/gas ones are going to be 26,000$.they are only being sold in california for the first little while because they wont have any repair shops worlswide but eventually they will! i think that its gas mileage is going to be a big thing! they get 330 mgp! if thats not a reason to buy then i dont know what would be a good enough one!!

where to begin? Ok,what have we been doing?
Lately we have been hanging out with our old friends from highschool which has been cool.Yesterday i went over to my good friend megans house to help her muck out the barn and move hay and lend a hand. She hadent had the time to really tend to it so i agreed to help her and it was actually quite fun! i love being around animals and especially her horses. They are old but friendly.














Brady is the younger of the two is 17 and knows a trick! if you pretend you have a treat for him and hide your arm behind your back he will kiss your nose! Amigo who has been 28 for many years now is the shy type who loves to be brushed and pet.We worked in the barn for a few hours and sat on the patio untill it was time to go see the new batman movie! I have never really been a fan of batman but i must say it was a good movie.REALLY long though but thats ok.It was hard to see the joker as heath ledger it was a really good preformance its all too sad to know that it was the last movie he will ever appear in. Matthew applied at the new langley concrete plant in chilliwack so im hoping that he gets the job and we can move back there! I miss being able to see all my friends all the time but hopfully that will change soon.I am getting excited for this weekend, me matt megan and another couple amber and andrew are going camping and quadding this weekend!
